Flexibility for short and long profiles
Hollow profiles up to 12 m in length can be moved with just one trolley thanks to their high bending stiffness, with an integrated slewing gear if required. Shorter and longer profiles can be transported flexibly using a two-trolley solution with hooks or magnets.
Safe load suspension with lifting magnets
Lifting magnets must be designed in such a way that they can safely pick up, hold, transport and set down the load when used as intended. To ensure this, the breakaway force must be significantly higher than the weight force of the nominal load.
A safe load pick-up requires a sufficiently high magnetic force, which depends on the shape, rigidity, surface quality, material thickness and the air gap to the load, among other factors.
When transporting hollow profiles, both the air gap between the load and the magnet and the internal "air gap" in the material play a central role. In order to achieve secure adhesion, the magnets require a particularly deep magnetic field. For this reason, coil magnets with two, three or four magnetic poles are primarily used, which enable reliable and powerful load pick-up.
